More than 170 DeMolays and Advisors from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia met in Alexandria, VA to attend the 28th Annual Region II Mid Atlantic Tournament of Champions (MATOC) over the weekend of September 9-11, 2011. The 2011 MATOC was host to over 112 competing teams that performed more than 35 hours of DeMolay ritual in a single day!

TOURNAMENT SITE - All competition events took place at the Alexandria Scottish Rite Temple - located at 1430 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA, 22302-2706 (View Map). This beautiful building provided MATOC competitors with several competition areas and various other rooms for contests and support functions.

TOURNAMENT HOTEL - The Courtyard Marriott Alexandria was the official 2011 tournament hotel. Located three miles from the tournament site at 2700 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA, 22314 (View Map), the hotel was conveniently located within one half mile (a ten minute walk) of Alexandria's Hoffman Town Center, which includes 200,000 square feet of retail stores and restaurants, a 22-screen AMC Movie Theater and the Eisenhower Avenue Metrorail Station. THE CONTESTS - As in previous years, MATOC offered competition in 3 divisions for 17 individual and team categories. See our contest archives for a list of this year's winning teams!
